Jessica Claire Blyth

Before the Ravage, New York City was the place of dreams. Where people either made the best decisions or the worst mistakes. It was a beautiful place, and a horrid one, and people helped each other and led to each other's demise every day.
In a way, it was still sort of like that. Instead of tall, glistening glass skyscrapers, the wreckage was a large concrete jungle with danger at every turn. It was safe to say making any decision was bound to come to an unfortunate end, but high spirits were needed to survive even a minute in this cruel city. It was very surprising that a pessimist such as Jessica Claire Blyth was able to withstand even a moment, but she managed.
Splash walked beside her as the twenty-four year old paused to admire the city. She'd never been to a large one, only small towns and the country. It made her anxious, and while she wouldn't admit it, afraid. The buildings creaked of old age and wear, and the occasional squack, growl, or howl were painful reminders that she was not alone.
Jessica stopped to rest by an intact bench, sighing. She squinted her eyes to look around, examining the scene carefully. She was here for one reason and one reason only: to find the immune. So far, in her ten years of work, she'd rescued 121 immune pokemon, which was relatively high. It made her nervous to be in such a wide-open, highly condensed space. She'd be dealing with larger, much more dangerous pokemon than she had before. Hopefully she could pull this job off.
She began to walk again, adjusting her backpack, every silent crunch of the gravel underfoot annoying her. "C'mon, Splash," she coaxed, constantly looking around skeptically.
